Admin Portal | Products

In the Products section you will find a general overview and details of all products that are included in the advisor.

Introduction

The section Products provides Neocom users with the power to analyze their product range, product attributes, and question mapping.

We will focus on the following  topics:

Location

You can find the Products Tab under Projects | Products between Analytics, Conversation, and Setup.

There is however another way to open the Product tab, and that is in your conversation. Within any question of your Advisor, on the right of the page, you will see two headings, “Matched” & “Unmatched”. These indicate which of your products could appear on your customer's results page. By clicking on the numbers (highlighted blue) below these two headings, you will open the Product tab displaying exactly which products are included, or not. Below this, you also have the option of displaying what products are matched to particular answers. Again, a Product tab will open showing you exactly which products that answer has associated with it.

Usage

The Product Overview feature has many uses, the most common being:

Establishing an overview of what products are available in your advisor. Your feed can be complex, and the better your oversight of the available products, the better you will be able to advise your customers.

Understanding what products the client will be recommended. When using the Product tab within a certain question you can clearly identify what recommendations a customer will receive if they click on a certain answer. You are the professional and you know what should and shouldn’t be recommended. This feature allows you to fine-tune the mapping within a question to improve your customer recommendations.

Displaying particular Attributes. When in the Product tab you have the ability to customize the attributes that are shown on screen. Simply click the “Edit Columns” button at the top right of the page, and select what attributes you’d like to be displayed.

Searching for particular information or products. Along each column, you have a search feature allowing you to search for particular products, or products which fulfill specific attributes. It is vital to know which products fulfill which attributes when creating your questions and answers. You can also use the arrows to arrange all products in the column, for example, if it is a yes/no question, you can group all yes, or no, answers at the top. You can also arrange according to the highest/lowest price or any other attribute style. To use the search function, just click on the three lines to the right of the column and a search bar will appear.

Understand your product feed just as well as you understand your products to make the most successful advisor for your customers, just remember, all filter and search settings will be saved automatically. So next time you want to use this feature, just press “Reset filters”.

Tricks and Tips

Fewer products in the Product tab than expected? The first step is to reset the filters. It may be that a previously completed search or filter query is still active. If the filters have been reset, take a look at your input feed. Neocom prepares your feed before it arrives in your Admin portal. One of the common attributes we exclude from the advisor are products that are “Out of Stock” for example.

More products in the feed than you expect, or need? Maybe you are creating a specific E-Bike advisor, and you still have normal pedal power bikes in your feed. You can create mapping that will exclude these if you wish, but Neocom can also exclude these products altogether. Consider what type of products the Advisor is focused on and what products need to be filtered out.

Want to share your Neocom Product Overview with a partner, without giving them access to your Advisor? With this intuitive download feature, you can share your product overview with anyone, or save it for offline use. You decide what filters to set, what columns and attributes to include, and what format it needs to be in.
