How and when your products are displayed is in your hands

We will have a look at the following topics that can be adapted in Project | Setup | Results:

Display

With the Product Results Control, Neocom allows total control of when product results are displayed during user conversations, meaning you can pinpoint the exact moment you think it's best to show your clients their results.

There are three modes to control this behavior:

  • After all “Filter” questions — This is the default behavior if no settings are changed.
  • At the end of the conversation — Results will appear once the last question is answered.
  • After a specific number of questions — For example, after the 5th question.

💡 In case the advisor can't reach the specified question number (e.g. because the conversation is shorter due to dependencies or A/B Testing), results are shown at the end of the conversation instead.

Number of Results

Here, you have the possibility to define how many results should be shown to your customer.

Price Impact

The price impact feature lets you influence the prices of the products in your customers results. It’s up to you to decide if you would like to push cheaper products or lead your customers to higher priced products. This won't affect the accuracy of the results shown.

This feature is optional and can be found in the Admin Portal | Projects | Setup | Results | Price Impact. You can also entirely leave it up to the Neocom algorithm to decide on the perfect products for each user.

Price Format

Choose how the price should be formated on your result cards.

Make it look like the prices on your website by selecting if decimals should be shown or hidden, showing a discount price as well as an original price and selecting if there is a pre- or a suffix needed for your prices.

Of course, you also have a Custom Text in case of not showing prices on your website.

Labels and Positioning

Neocom offers you to display different labels on each result to help your customers make the right decision. There are three default labels and the option to create custom labels.

Default Labels

  • Best Value
  • Best Price-Value
  • Cheapest price

Custom Labels

Your personal custom labels, to highlight for example your own brand, low in stock, our recommendation, etc.

You can change the settings of each label in the Admin Portal | Projects | Setup | Results | Edit labels.

Setting options

The following setting options apply to all labels.

  • activate/ deactivate each label individually
  • use label logic without showing label
  • change displayed name of label
  • change color of label
  • change order of labels (drag and drop)
  • set if one result can have multiple labels (if one product should only have one label, even if multiple labels would match, the order of the labels is taken into account, but only the first label is shown.)

Default labels

The three default labels have a hard-coded, non-adjustable logics on which they are based. Each of these labels can only be assigned to one result at a time.
  • Best Value: The best product the algorithm calculated, meaning the product with the highest score.
  • Best Price-Value: The product with the best compromise of price and value.
  • Cheapest Price: The cheapest among the top 3 products.
  • Matching Percentage: Shows how well each product matches the user's preferences in `%`.

Custom labels

If you want to add additional labels, you can create as many custom labels as desired and define them individually. It is also up to you if a label should be shown on one product only, or repetitively on several. You can also define if one product should have one label only, or you can allow stacking it with other labels. The logic for each label can be defined through mappings.
Helpful custom labels could be: bestseller, own brand, top-rated, sustainable, etc.

Comparative Features

This feature lets you edit the different attributes of a product shown under each result. This helps the customers compare and understand which of the characteristics they selected in the advisor a product has and which it does not.
